The Music Country Grand Prix features Olympic level competition requiring riders and horses to tackle challenging jump courses with obstacles that include verticals, spreads, double and triple jump combinations, usually with many turns and changes of direction. It is a jaw-dropping, heart-stopping event as the riders and horses soar over the jumps. International horses and riders come to Brownland Farm in Franklin, TN, to compete for the $50,000 purse. More than 2,000 spectators attend the week-long competition that culminates with the Music Country Grand Prix. The high net-worth audience largely includes equestrians and residents of Davidson and Williamson Counties. The centerpiece of the Music Country Grand Prix is the Patrons’ Tent for 500 with a gourmet buffet plus open bars. Other attractions include tailgating, a silent auction with unique items, the People Prix, and general admission. The beneficiary is Saddle Up!, one of the Franklin area’s most respected nonprofits. It will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2019.
